Generous discounts on loft and cavity wall insulation are available to ALL local residents who own their homes or rent privately. Householders who are aged 70 or over or in receipt of income or disability related benefits may be entitled to have insulation and heating improvements carried out free of charge.

This independent advice service is managed by United Sustainable Energy Services (formerly Milton Keynes Energy Agency) which is a not-for-profit organisation funded by the Energy Saving Trust and supported by Chiltern District Council.

Warm Front
The government's Warm Front scheme, managed by Eaga Partnership plc, provides a free grant up to £3,500 for home energy improvements to householders who are claiming certain income or disability benefits. Up to £6,000 is available where oil heating systems are to be installed.
The grant can provide both insulation measures (for example, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, draught proofing etc) and, for homes which lack adequate heating, efficient room heaters or a central heating system for the main living areas.
